When you enter the club you can “scope the area to view all of the Sims likes and dislikes, which is a new feature exclusive to The Sims 2 Nightlife.

Het hele artikel:

PC Preview: The Sims 2: Nightlife
The Sims 2 has become one of the fastest and best selling games ever, and EA don’t intend to stop there. The Sims 2 Nightlife is the latest expansion for Sims fans, as EA closely follows their “an expansion every 6 months commitment. The Sims 2 University allowed us to play through a part of The Sims’s lives that we never have before, and Sims 2 Nightlife is exactly the same. The Sims 2 Nightlife will allow players to take their Sims for a night out on the town, getting drunk, dancing, dating, or spending a classy night in a VIP lounge. Read on to find out more about The Sims 2 Nightlife, due out Q3 2005 on the PC.

Tim LeTourneau, the senior producer of The Sims 2 has become the face of the game amongst the gaming media, and we’ve come to know him as a brilliant bloke with plenty of ideas. At E3 2005, he built the demo lot in The Sims 2 Nightlife that we got to play around with, and it was impressive to say the least. All new items including a DJ booth, an Electro Dance Sphere, a poker table, and over 120 other goodies will mean The Sims 2 Nightlife will take at least six months to get bored of, enough time for EA to bring out their next installment to the franchise.

The only way to get out and explore the nightlife of The Sims 2 however, is to get a date. Once you get a date, you’re in. You can explore the clubs, the lounges, and the restaurants which are already built in with the expansion to the town your home is in, or you can build up and design your own ultimate nightclub however you desire. When you enter the club you can “scope the area to view all of the Sims likes and dislikes, which is a new feature exclusive to The Sims 2 Nightlife. There are other new features such as the “Pleasure Seeker aspiration which will allow players to enjoy the wonders of The Sims 2 Nightlife without having to worry about being rejected as often as diehard Sims fans are used to.

The most adored new feature in The Sims 2 Nightlife for us here at GameBiz is of course the cars. You can now be in possession of your own car, which we think is really cool. Finally Sims no longer have to worry about catching the bus or a car pool to work, and your night out can be that much cooler if you’re behind the wheel of the latest Sims 2 convertible. Along with the cars of course comes the ability to build a driveway, which we believe will definitely allow expansions of houses to make them look much more like real-life houses than they used to.

Vampires, bowling alleys, and Mrs. Crumplebottom are all new additions to The Sims 2 that you’ll only be able to experience if you purchase Nightlife. Very little has been said about these three new additions, but they’ll be a guaranteed laugh, we assure you. Imagine if your male Sim that you’ve worked hard to establish a good education and get a good job suddenly chatted up the wrong girl, which decided to take a nibble of his neck and turn him into a vampire! Feisty stuff right there!

All up, we can’t wait to get our hands on the full version of The Sims 2 Nightlife and will be eager to bring you our review of the expansion. The Sims 2 already offers infinite hours of gameplay madness, so Nightlife will only add to the already overwhelming amount of opportunities to experience within your Sim life. We expect The Sims 2 Nightlife to hit our shelves some time around the middle of September, considering The Sims 2 University came out in the middle of March. It will also most likely coincide with the release of The Sims 2 on DS, GBA, GCN, PSP, PS2, and Xbox.

Ja, maar zo kun je ook zeggen, waarom ze niet gewoon ff in één keer alle uitbreidingen bedenken, en die dan allemaal in één uitbreiding doen. Een stuk goedkoper voor ons :P.
